경제가 어렵기는 진짜로 어려운가 보다... 미국에서 손꼽히는 전자유통업체인 써킷시티가 파산했다는 기사를 읽었다. 블랙 프라이데이를 앞두고 있기는 하지만 예전같지 안을거라는 전망이 우세하다고... 블랙 프라이데이가 뭔지는 진작에 알고 있었지만 왜 블랙 프라이데이인 줄은 몰랐었는데 기사끝에 설명이 붙어있길래 퍼왔다... 근데 주의할 점은 어디까지나 설이라는거... 믿거나 말거나??? ㅡ.ㅡ;;;

추수감사절 다음날인 금요일로, 가장 싼 가격에 제품을 살 수 있어 대규모 쇼핑이 이뤄지는 시기를 가리키는 용어. 적자를 보던 업체들도 흑자(블랙)로 돌아선다는 의미에서 붙여진 말이란 설이 유력하다. 최근엔 추수감사절 휴일엔 여행을 가고 다음주 출근해 물건을 온라인으로 주문한다고 해서 ‘사이버 먼데이’라는 말도 나왔다.
